RIFA currently has a job opening for a part-time Warehouse Service Worker. Join RIFA in seeking to alleviate hunger and poverty in our community. You will be assisting in much of the hands on work that makes RIFA function. If you are interested please email Shaun at shaunpowers@rifarifa.org
Club 412 has gone through the growing pains as any new program does. We went through days were no one showed up. Days were we had to deal with unexpected problems. Days were our activities did not work out. Yet, we continued on with our vision and held fast.
Now we are dealing with another problem. It is not necessarily a bad problem we are having. We now have more students than volunteers. We had been having four-five students come per session. The last three sessions we have had seven, seven, and most recently ten!
We need more tutors. There are parents willing to send their children and children willing to come. If you are interested in helping to meet the growing need here at our after school program, Club 412, please contact John Winfree or Jenni Thorn at (731) 427-7963.
Club 412 meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00.
The need for Snack Backpack items is a continual need here at RIFA. Providing 485 bags for elementary students per week is a daunting task when funds are limited. Yet, God has been faithful to continue to provide for this program. Many individuals, church, and other organizations continue to donate to this program.
Recently, the ladies of Sigma Delta Sigma Theta brought a large donation for Snack Backpack. Their donation that day provided enough food for almost one week of Snack Backpack. RIFA would like to thank these ladies for their generous contribution!
